WHY NOT! says GIST, Arizona Governor candidate responding to a question regarding Nevada's foreclosure mediation program. "Requiring, mediation between homeowner's and the mortgage company would give some "accountability" to a very questionable process currently happening."
Nevada's foreclosure mediation certificate process requires a mortgage lender to negotiate in good faith when requested by foreclosed upon homeowner. NO, foreclosure can be finalized without the certificate being completed.

We need to slow down this INSIDIOUS deterioration of our neighborhoods from foreclosures which is tearing up our families and communities. As your governor I will order the State Banking Department and the State Attorney General who have the power and authority over the the banking industry to immediately summons the mortgage banks and their Servicing agents to address the crisis.
“WE Arizonans are tired of the National Rhetoric and it is time for us to take action, LOCALLY” GIST says.
